ABOUT

The Davos Lab Dialogue: Building Our Future consisted of a ten-week campaign of global dialogues and surveys held across the world, aimed at culminating with a recovery plan with tangible action to enable collective action and engage youth activism. The initiative, spearheaded by the Global Shapers Community, was the first intergenerational initiative aimed at connecting young people with the knowledge, networks and tools required to help shape the world’s recovery from COVID-19 and its consequences.

DAVOS LAB & THE GLOBAL SHAPERS HUB

The Global Shapers Guwahati Hub hosted The Davos Lab Dialogue, Assam, on the 20th of March 2021 at Guwahati, Assam, India. Titled ‘Innovation in Technology for Strengthening Access to Equitable Healthcare in Post-COVID Assam’, the dialogue aimed to understanding the scope and need for synergizing evidence to inform practice and policy around robust, collaborative, scalable and agile technology that could enable healthcare delivery with quality impact, will being equitable across Assam. The objectives of the dialogue included
 

  • To discuss the myriad role of technology in strengthening access to equitable healthcare

  • To explore different innovations in technology in Assam and similar areas

  • To understand the on-ground challenge of technology-driven healthcare in the region, and brainstorm on how they can be overcome

IMPACT

The Global Shapers Guwahati Hub focused on the challenge of healthcare, keeping in mind the unique challenges of Assam. Several prominent speakers from different fields have given their important insights regarding the topic being discussed thereby helping integrate healthcare with various sectors. As many as 10  speakers were part of the campaign from Faculty, Department of Chemical Engineering & Centre for Nanotechnology, IIT Guwahati to respected individuals from National Health Mission, Assam to Chief Medical Officer, Amalgamated Plantations Private Limited.
